Led by Head Coach Kevin James and Assistant Coach Richard Lord, the Cowichan 49ers have been a dominant constant in the Masters division of the VISL, winning 107 of 130 total games since 2016 (sans 2024 season). This becomes even more impressive when you see that in those 130 games, they have scored a whopping 458 goals whilst conceding a mere 94.
The team has also previously held an undefeated streak of 35 games, and a win streak of 28 games in a row on the Island! The team are annual competitors in the Tony Grover Masters A Cup, winning 5 of the last 7 Cups.
